Sammy Gets Top Chef honors at State and Graduates

We're so proud of Sammy.  She took a difficult situation with her senior year of high school and showed her toughness and perseverance by wrapping things up in Utah with a big win at the state high school culinary competition.

Sammy and her partner took 2nd place overall and Sammy won 1st place for Best Menu.

After that, she graduated and her big adventure in Utah was over.

Since she was leaving for home before the official school graduation, our Utah family decided to have their own ceremony for her.

They were able to dig up some of our old Carbon graduation hats and robes and made a special graduation ceremony for Sammy.

We're so appreciative of the care and love they gave our little girl during her year abroad.

 

We were so exicted to have her back home that Suz had really nice sign made up at the John's sign business to welcome her home.  We thought it was pretty amusing that she had three different high school logos to add.

It didn't take long for Sammy to settle back into being the family comedian.  Here she is entertaining us.
